Party in the Pits: Annual TPFF 2013 Outdoor Screening

The annual TPFF Party in the Pits took place on Friday, July 5th, 2013 at Christie Pits Park. There was dabke, delicious treats (including traditional Middle Eastern pastries and custom TPFF cookies) and a free screening of Annemarie Jacir's Salt of this Sea at sunset. We screened Salt of this Sea on the opening night of the very first Toronto Palestine Film Festival. It was a wildly successful evening, the theatre was packed and energy was high. Starring actress and acclaimed spoken word poet Suheir Hammad was in attendance and participated in an audience Q&A after the screening. We were so happy to share this wonderful film with Toronto audiences again!
