Synopsis: One morning, Dana — a drifting young Palestinian-American woman — wakes up unaware that the world has just shifted. Still tangled in the haze of the previous night, she is startled by the presence of her father, Saleh Said, a legendary Palestinian activist, appearing as his younger, charismatic revolutionary self from the 1960s. As Dana stumbles through a tense Chicago afternoon, she begins to feel the weight of being visibly Arab in a city suddenly more alert to her presence — a keffiyeh draws stares, her phone fills with news of violence and impending retaliation. Her father pushes her to speak, to reclaim her voice at the peace symposium she's scheduled to attend that night, even as she wants only to disappear from her inheritance, her fear, and him.
