Love During Wartime is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet story. Newlyweds Osama, a Palestinian artist, and Jasmin, an Israeli dancer, fell in love while working in East Jerusalem. However their marriage is marred by Israeli law that prevents Jasmin from moving to Ramallah, and prohibits Osama from moving to Tel Aviv. Desperate to create a life together they take the difficult decision to leave their homes in search of a new life in Europe – one that gives them the legal right to live together. The film follows this determined couple on a bureaucratic and legal odyssey that tests the strength of their relationship.
