A lifeguard in his late 60s from the Palestinian National Rescue Team-North District who seems to be highly dedicated to his job watches over the beaches of the sea, until we realise he is simply sitting on a rooftop overlooking the apartheid wall.

Rania Lardjane is a visual and textual storyteller. Born to a Palestinian-Arab father and an Algerian-Amazigh mother, she has a lot to tell. She studied Film Production at Dar Al-Kalima University in Bethlehem and completed a BFA in Film Studies at Concordia University in Canada. She moves between Ramallah, Tiohtiá:ke (MTL), and Algiers, and is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Arts at Concordia University.

Ad(h)am Sinan (b. 1995) is an architect, artist, researcher and educator based in Vienna and Palestine. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.

Sinan has participated in and had his work published in international exhibitions and festivals. Such as the Venice Biennale 2023, the Chicago Biennale 2023 and the Rotterdam Architecture Biennale 2024, amongst others, while highly narrational, His work explores residual matters to craft new spatial and visual possibilities and to redefine redundancy via crafting critical lenses of modernity and what it represents.

Trained as an architect, Sinan’s work extends beyond traditional architectural boundaries, engaging with various artistic media and toolsets. He combines his architectural expertise with writing, film, music, and photography, investigating the multifaceted nature of space. His works challenge and expand conventional ideas of possible space through experimentation, shifting perspectives and using defamiliarisation to emphasise spatial identity, interaction, and emotional response.
