Zinco, Arabic slang for corrugated tin roofs, is a portrait of Al Talbieh (Zizya), a Palestinian refugee camp established in Jordan in the aftermath of the June 1967 War. Decades later, the camp has evolved from a temporary solution to a permanent zone. The film retraces the development of Al Talbieh through personal anecdotes shared by the camp’s residents and vibrant visuals of the changing construction materials used for Palestinian refugee shelters – the signifiers of exile.
