Over the course of eleven days in May 2021, at least 67 children were killed in Israel's bombardment of Gaza. Co-directed by Palestinian filmmaker Mohammed Sawwaf and Britain’s Michael Winterbottom and narrated by Kate Winslet, with music by Max Richter, the documentary pays homage to the young lives lost in May’s bombings. Through photos, possessions and personal stories shared by relatives, the film captures the lives of each child, their dreams for their future and the families that grieve them. Joyful scenes of their lives are juxtaposed with images of their death. In a place where half the population are children, the simple repetitive structure of the film drives home who pays the highest price with each indiscriminate attack on Gaza.
