Ali Mustafa Exhibition:
On March 9, 2014, Ali Mustafa, a Toronto-based freelance photojournalist, activist and writer, was killed in Syria while covering the war. This year's art show is dedicated to Ali's social justice legacy and will feature his photography from Toronto, Brazil, Palestine, Egypt, and Syria.
This exceptional exhibition will run during the TPFF screenings at the Art Gallery of Ontario (Sept.29 – Oct.2) and is a free event and open to the public.

TPFF is pleased to host a conversation with Laila El-Haddad, a Palestinian journalist, author, blogger, and media activist from Gaza City. In 2013, she co-authored The Gaza Kitchen: A Palestinian Culinary Journey - a cookbook of recipes from across Gaza that explores the food heritage and stories of life in Gaza. At TPFF she will be providing a personal perspective on Gaza, as well as discussing food, identity and resistance. This is a free event. The panel will take place at Beit Zatoun.

During this year's brunch the Toronto Palestine Film Festival is proud to screen the North American Premiere of Resistance Recipes by Dasa Raimanova, Alicia Qandil & Yazeed Abu Khadair (2013; 31 min; Poland/Palestine) a documentary on stories centred around food and organic agriculture, this film gives the viewer an insider's view of how Palestinians are affected by the occupation.
Our 2014 Sahtain! will take place at Beit Zatoun.
